We are very proud of our lovely school and the children and families within the community. We work in partnership with parents and carers to provide a safe, nuturing and inspirational place in which to learn.

  • Welcome to Shipley!

  • The Vision

The school motto of Friendship Faith and Future  underpins the life of the school. It reflects our caring community, Christian character and focus on helping children to be the best they can be, achieving their full potential.  We are very proud of the rich curriculum and opportunities for meaningful cross-curricular learning. Our whole school topics are selected to inform and inspire the children and deepen their knowledge and skills through quality texts.

Pupils have very positive, mature attitudes to learning due to lively, stimulating teaching. Challenging tasks keep them on their toes and sustain their interest and engagement.’ Ofsted November 2014.

Forest School and learning outside the classroom is an important part of our school week, especially in our rich, natural surroundings. Children in the Early Years are involved in designing their outdoor space and there is a focus on creativity and experiential learning in a safe environment.

Adults generate a real sense of belonging which results in children behaving well and feeling safe and secure. This was illustrated as children sat chatting with adults around a campfire, drinking hot chocolate and eating toast that they had ‘helped’ adults cook.’ Ofsted November 2014
