      Jen Harvey

      Headteacher

      Jen Harvey joined Shipley in September 2016 as Headteacher. She has a background of 24 years primary teaching across three schools in East Sussex. She has been a Deputy in two large primaries, with a period as Acting Headteacher. She has the National Qualification in Headship and is a specialist teacher in Dyslexia.

      Jen trained at Brighton University in teaching English, Maths and PE so it is no surprise that she is passionate about these subjects, alongside rich learning opportunities in science, outdoor learning and the arts.

      Emma Stas joined Shipley in September 2016 as the Years 1 and 2 teacher in Oaks class in the mornings. She will be the Science Co-ordinator. Emma enjoys keeping fit attending a fit-steps class and spending lots of time with her daughter.

      Sycamores

      Gill joined our school in September 2011. She is our Senior Teacher and teaches Years 5 and 6 children (Sycamores). When not in the classroom, Gill leads the annual inter-school country dancing event in Horsham Park and the Weald Music Festival at the Hawth for the Weald locality schools.

      Susie joined us in September 2014 with more than five year’s teaching experience. She is class teacher for Years 3 and 4 in Ash, supported by our new Teaching Assistant, Jackie Davis. Susie has a keen interest in dance and music, and runs our Musical Theatre club and Christmas production.

      Sue joined us in September 2008 and teaches Reception in the morning and then Reception and year 1 in the afternoon. Sue is a highly experienced teacher who helps our new starters settle into our school life with warmth and patience. Sue is ably supported by her teaching assistant Mrs Jo Wrate. She runs our Techno Club.
