Our topic this term

 This term, our new topic is The Rainforest, where we will explore the amazing plants, animals and people that live in these fascinating environments.  We will learn about rainforest layers, rivers, the water cycle, animal adaptations and how rainforests are important to our planet.

PE and outdoor Learning

Monday - Outdoor Learning: Please ensure your child has a complete change of weather appropriate clothes, waterproof trousers, a jacket and a pair of wellies.

Thursday & Friday - PE: Children should come to school in their PE kits, prepared for PE outside.

Home learning

Year 4, 5 and 6: regular reading, times tables and spelling practice. Optional extension tasks. 

Year 5: Optional homework is given out on a Thursday and handed back in on a Tuesday.

Year 6: Homework is given out on a Thursday and handed back in on a Tuesday.

Useful information

• Please ensure your child's book bag is in school every day.
• Children should have a pair of named wellies in school.
• Please kindly name ALL of your child's belongings.  
• As we are coming into autumn/winter, please ensure that your child has an appropriate coat to wear.
• Children are allowed to bring in a small snack, a piece of fruit or a vegetable, to eat at breaktime.
