our topic this term

This term, our class is diving into the fascinating world of the Ancient Greeks. We are learning about their beliefs, powerful gods, and the myths that helped explain life in the ancient world. Alongside our history learning, we are enjoying the book Who Let the Gods Out?, which brings Greek mythology to life in a fun and modern way. The story helps us connect ancient myths to the present day, making our learning both engaging and memorable.

Pe and outdoor learning

PE lessons take place on Mondays with Miss Wade and on Wednesdays with Mr Petros. On both days, children should come to school wearing their PE kit so they are ready to take part comfortably and safely in the lesson.

Home learning

There are a few key routines that children are asked to keep up with at home. Spellings are set, and tested, every Monday, so regular practice during the week is important. Children should also practise their times tables in preparation for the weekly Friday test, read at home with an adult as often as possible, and spend a few minutes each day on Times Tables Rockstars. These activities help reinforce learning and build confidence, all logins can be found in their reading diaries.

useful information

Our next class assembly will take place on Wednesday 1st July. We’re really looking forward to sharing our learning, and celebrating the children’s hard work. If you or your child have any questions or worries about the assembly, please don’t hesitate to talk to me—I’m always happy to help. - Miss Wade
