Reading is the key home learning in Ash class. Please hear your child read and continue to read to them, as often as possible and record the reads in your child's reading diary. Reads will be counted towards the end of each week.

our topic this term
Our topics this term is a history based topic called, 'Gods, Goddesses and Mythical Creatures' which centres around learning about Ancient Greece. Through this exciting topic, the class will be learning about life in Ancient Greece as well as Greek mythology and Gods.
Pe and Outdoor learning
- Monday - Outdoor Learning - please ensure your child has a complete change of weather appropriate clothes, waterproof trousers and jacket and a pair of wellies.
- Tuesday - PE, gymnastics- children should come to school in their PE kits, ready for gymnastics in the hall.
- Wednesday - PE outdoors - children should come to school in their PE kits, prepared for PE outside.
Home learning
useful information
- Please ensure your child's book bag is in school every day.
- Children should have a pair of named wellies in school.
- Please name ALL of your child's belongings. We cannot reunite lost items with their owner if they are not clearly labelled with their name.
- As we are coming into Autumn/Winter, please ensure your child has an appropriate coat to wear at playtimes.
- Children are allowed to bring in a small snack, a piece of fruit or vegetables, to eat at break time.
