Our topic this term- Toybox treasures

This term, our topic is called 'Toybox Treasures', and we will be focusing on how toys have changed over the past 100 years. We’ll compare toys from the past with those we play with today, as well as learning about celebrations such as Bonfire Night and Christmas and how traditions have changed. Our topic will link across the curriculum, from investigating everyday materials in science to drawing and printing with toys in art.

PE and outdoor learning

Outdoor Learning- Monday afternoon

PE with Mr Petros- Wednesday afternoon

PE with Miss Clement- Friday afternoon

Please could your child come into school on these days wearing the relevant clothing.

Home learning

Each Friday, children in Willows Class will bring home a reading book and their green/yellow letter formation book to practise during the week. Sharing books at home helps build confidence, develop early reading skills, and foster a love of stories, while the letter formation activities support handwriting and fine motor development. We kindly ask that reading books and green/yellow letter formation books are returned to school the following Friday so we can celebrate your child’s progress and provide new materials.
