Dear Sycamore Class & Parents,

This term, our theme is Ancient Egypt. We will be exploring one of the world’s earliest civilisations, discovering how the Ancient Egyptians lived, worked and worshipped. Along the way, we will learn about powerful pharaohs, mysterious pyramids and fascinating discoveries from the past. We will also develop our research skills and present our findings in creative and engaging ways.

Our class book this term is The Sun King by Emma Carroll. This exciting historical adventure follows Lil and Tulip as they uncover ancient secrets and embark on a thrilling journey connected to the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb.

PE & OUTDOOR LEARNING

PE: Monday and Wednesday outside with Mr. Petros.

Outdoor Learning: In the summer term, this is held on a Monday.  Please can children bring waterproof trousers and a jacket with warm clothes underneath.

HOME LEARNING

Maths & English homework: Homework will be set each Thursday and collected on the following Wednesday.

Reading: We expect children will read regularly and record their reading in their Reading Record book.  The Reading Record books are collected on a Friday and each 'read' is counted.
