Welcome to Sycamore Year 5 and 6 Class
Autumn Term 2024
Dear Sycamore Class & Parents
This term's topic is Invaders and Settlers: Anglo-Saxons & Vikings. We will find out how the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings lived, what they believed in and how they came to settle in England. Our class reader this term, is the brilliant She-Wolf by Dan Smith. The story is based around a young Viking girl, Ylva, swept from a ship during a storm on to an empty English beach. Ylva is pulled into an adventure as she seeks revenge, aided by a wolf-companion. Further details of this term's curriculum can be found below, alongside information regarding the weekly timetable and spellings. Enjoy the autumn term and any queries, please just ask. Ms Stas |
