Welcome to Sycamore Year 5 and 6 Class
Summer Term 2023
Dear Sycamore Class & Parents
This term's topic is 'The Future of the Planet is in Our Hands'. In our lessons, we will be finding out about the impact of climate change and global warming on the Earth with a particular focus on the oceans. Our class reader this term, is the wonderful 'The Last Bear' by Hannah Gold. The story depicts a girl named April who must, with her father, go to the Arctic to research for a duration of six months. During these six months, April secretly helps a wounded bear to escape the island to Svalbard. Further details of this term's curriculum can be found below, alongside information regarding the 'Home Learning Tasks' and spellings. Enjoy the term and, hopefully, the sunny weather! Ms Stas |
