Dear Sycamore Class & Parents
This term's topic is 'Awesome Animals'. We will be finding out about different animals around the world including those in our local 'Shipley' area.
Our main class reader this term is Journey to the River Sea by Eva Ibbotson. Journey to the River Sea is an Amazon adventure set in the wilderness of Brazil which is filled with mystery and memorable characters.
Another wonderful book that we will be using within class will be, Forgotten Beasts by Matt Sewell, Within this book, we will meet the beasts that followed in the dinosaurs’ footsteps – from the terrifying Megalodon, a monster shark that was 18 metres long, to the bizarre Australian bird known as the 'demon duck from hell', to the giant carnivorous pig that was a close relative of the whale!
We are really looking forward to sharing these wonderful books with you.
Have an enjoyable term!
