Welcome to Sycamore Year 5 and 6 Class

Summer Term 2025

Our performance of a Midsummer Night's Dream is on Wednesday 9th July 2025 at 6pm.
 Dear Sycamore Class & Parents

This term, we are diving into Earth Matters — a powerful topic all about understanding our amazing planet and how we can protect it. We’ll explore the incredible landscapes, wildlife and ecosystems that make Earth so special and look closely at the challenges they face, from climate change to deforestation.
We'll also be reading The Last Bear by Hannah Gold — a moving and magical story about a brave girl called April who forms a bond with the last remaining polar bear on a remote Arctic island. As we journey through this adventure, we'll discover just how important conservation is — and how even the smallest person can make the biggest difference.
Further details of this term's curriculum can be found below, alongside information regarding the weekly timetable and spellings.

Enjoy the summer term and if you have any queries, please just ask.
